Track Africa’s greatest wildlife as we visit three of Tanzania’s famous safari parks in search for the Big Five. Walk through coffee plantations and waterfalls on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, canoe on a crater lake and visit local tribes. From the mainland, fly to the exotic Spice Island of Zanzibar to explore the narrow streets of Stone Town and unwind beside the Indian Ocean.

    Arrival

    A warm welcome to Tanzania. You will be met and transferred by our representative from Kilimanjaro Int’l airport to your Moshi Hotel. Overnight at Kilemakyaro Mountain Lodge or similar. Meals included: Dinner.

    Visit Materuni Village, home to Chagga Tribe

    After breakfast, we proceed to Materuni village, home to the Chagga tribe. Stroll through lush gardens, visit the coffee plantation all situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and learn how coffee is grown, harvested and processed. A 150m high waterfall is also something to admire, here. Thereafter we return back to the hotel for Lunch. Enjoy rest of the day for leisure. Overnight at Kilemakyaro Mountain Lodge or similar.     Visit Lake Duluti for canoeing and Arusha Meserani Snake Park

    Depart for Lake Duluti, a small crater lake located in Arusha. The dense forest around the lake is home to a variety of mammals, reptiles and over 140 species of birds.<br /> Take a canoe trip on the tranquil waters of the lake. Proceed to Meserani Snake Park. Most dangerous snakes found here are; the Black and Green Mamba, Egyptian Cobra and Puff Adders as well as watch the crocodiles at feeding time. Overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

    Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

    Embark on our visit to Lake Manyara National Park. Here elephant graze in the wood-fringed clearings and birdlife flocks overhead. Warthog grow fat and it’s a favorite playground for baboons. The rare sight of tree-climbing lions has also been seen. You’ll never forget your first game drive! Overnight at Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro conservation Area

    Today we have a long but rewarding journey into the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The scenery and views are spectacular as we drive along the Ngorongoro Crater and through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We pass several Maasai homesteads before arriving at Olduvai Gorge, where in 1959, anthropologists Dr and Mrs. Leakey discovered the remains of an almost intact human skull named Nutcracker Man. It was here at this important prehistoric site, together with other startling discoveries, that have contributed to the furthering understanding of early human development. Thereafter we proceed to Serengeti, your ultimate safari destination. Overnight at Serengeti Simba Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Experience Serengeti National Park

    Covering some 15,000 sq km the Serengeti is the oldest and largest park in Tanzania. Home of the spectacular wildebeest migration. Explore the grass plains that nurture huge populations of grazers. Leopard and cheetah abound, and the endless fight for survival is played out daily. Overnight at Serengeti Simba Lodge or similar.     Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

    This incredible natural Amphitheatre presents us with the perfect setting for some remarkable game viewing and this morning we enter the caldera in search of big game. With the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa, the crater teems with lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe and rhino. At every turn you’ll witness animals drinking, wallowing, feasting or hunting. And don’t miss an intriguing Masai village visit! Overnight at Karatu Simba Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Drive back to Arusha, fly to Stone Town on Zanzibar

    This morning we may have the opportunity of visiting a village orphanage in Mto Wa Mbu before returning to Arusha for our onward flight to Zanzibar. The exotic spice island of Zanzibar is a land of sun-kissed beaches, Arabian dhows and swaying palms, where the rich smell of spice in Stone Town's old quarter mingles with colonial and Arabic architecture to create a perfect getaway island. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred by our representative to your beach Hotel. Overnight at Tembo Hotel or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

    Serengeti National Park – Game Drives, Dinner Under the Stars

    Today you will spend the day tracking game and following hot on the heels of the wildebeest in Serengeti National Park, with a knowledgeable field guide by your side. Picnic Lunch will be served in a scenic spot under the shade of trees. Arriving back to your camp after a day replete with wildlife experience, it’s time to freshen up and get ready for dinner under the star-spangled African skies. Overnight at Serengeti Migration Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Walking tour of Stone Town

    Today we take a walking tour of Zanzibar's ancient capital of Stone Town, meandering through a landscape of labyrinthine alleys and whitewashed houses, where the pungent aroma of coffee and spices permeate the town and the backstreets are filled with a cacophony of noise and colour. Those who wish to learn something of Zanzibar's rich history, visit the Sultan's palace and see clove plantations established by the Sultan in the 19th century can take an optional 'Spice Tour' of the island (including lunch). Overnight at Tembo Hotel or similar. Meal Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

    Drive to Nungwi, located in the north of the island

    Today we drive to Zanzibar's north coast, an enchanting community of fishing vessels, coral reefs and wild beauty. The rest of the day is free to explore, or just relax on the beach. Overnight at Sunshine Marine Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

    Free day for optional & beach activities

    Our final day on the island has been left free for optional activities. It's easy to spend time watching the fishermen bringing in their catch. Stroll along the beach admiring the idyllic vistas, or venture out by boat onto the colourful offshore reefs with mask and snorkel. For anyone qualified these waters also present fabulous opportunities to scuba dive. Overnight at Sunshine Marine Lodge or similar. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
