    Kenya Arrival

    On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our guide, and transferred to your hotel for an overnight. Overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel or Similar. Meals Included: Dinner.

    Fly to Amboseli National Park

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson airport for your flight to Amboseli National Park. On arrival You will be escorted to your camp, with your first game drive en-route. After lunch, head out to your afternoon game drive. Amboseli contains five main wildlife habitats: open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland. Overnight at Tortilis Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Game Drives in the Shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro

    Today is a full day of activities in Amboseli National Park starting with an early morning walking safari. Explore across the dew-touched landscapes of Amboseli. The animals are up with the first light of day, and the early light is one of the best times to experience the full majesty of Kilimanjaro. With clear weather and a bit of good luck, today offers a chance to capture that classic shot of an elephant or giraffe against the dramatic backdrop of Africa's highest peak. But even if Kilimanjaro is hidden by clouds, your wildlife-viewing promises to be spectacular.</p> <p>Although best known for its vast herds of free ranging elephants, a population of over 1,500 elephants, among large variety of other wildlife along with more than 400 species of birds.     Amboseli National Park – Loisaba Conservancy, Laikipia

    Today, you will make your way to Amboseli Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport and onward to Laikipia, located in the region just north of Mount Kenya and north of the equator. Landing at the Loisaba airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed. Enjoy your first glimpse of the local wildlife as you are transferred to the camp, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, guest’s will be offered a massage for pure relaxation, or alternatively, you will go on a game drive. Overnight at Loisaba Tented Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

    Loisaba Walking Safari – Track wildlife

    Your day begins with a walking safari with traditional Samburu guides. Spend about five hours walking slowly over terrain in search of wildlife tracks. Also appreciate the flora and birds that you find on your meanderings. You may choose to ride a camel for part of the journey. They are fitted with comfortable padded saddles. Arrive at camp in time for late lunch. Cool off with a refreshing dip in the river before evening falls or visit the resident anti-poaching team with its four sniffer dogs.     Loisaba Camel Ride

    The morning starts with another game drive. For the more adventurous, there is the option of exploring the conservancy on horse or camel-back – an exhilarating way to get unusually close to wild animals. For the afternoon activity, in addition to a game drive, you might go for a run with a Samburu guide or take a mountain-bike ride. Afterwards, you are may choose to participate in a very special overnight experience in one of the Loisaba Star Beds. Overnight at Loisaba Star Beds. Meal Plan: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

    Loisaba – Masai Mara National Reserve

    After breakfast, the 90 minutes’ safari transfer flight to Kenya’s premiere wildlife viewing region, promises breathtaking views of the African landscapes. Touching down by the vast expanse of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, you’ll be met and escorted by your driver guide to the camp. After lunch proceed to the afternoon game drive. The Mara is famous for its astounding numbers of both resident and transient populations of wildlife as well as over 450 bird species – widely acclaimed as Kenya’s finest wildlife destination. Overnight at Elewana Sand River Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.

With its undisturbed panoramas of rolling savannah punctuated by the iconic silhouette of acacia trees, the Maasai Mara is ravishing in its wild beauty and celebrated as one of the richest wildlife habitats on the Planet, with the so-called “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros – evident throughout the year. The “Big Nine” – including cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hippo – extends this experience.

    Flight to Nairobi – Travel Home

    Today we bid farewell to Africa. You will be escorted to local airstrip where you will take a short flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. (Option to have lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant at traveler expenses). A driver and vehicle will be available for any last-minute sightseeing or shopping. In the evening, transfer to Nairobi’s International Airport to embark on your journey back home. Meals Included: Breakfast

Hot Air Balloon Safari

Day 8 Optional activity

We highly suggest the balloon safari at dawn over the Maasai Mara from $500 per person. As the sun is rising to cast its first golden rays across these endless landscapes, you’ll be floating silently above in a Hot Air Balloon.

Thrill to this incredible bird’s-eye view of the Maasai Mara – and the animals as they begin their day. Touch down in the open savannah, and delight in an al fresco Champagne Breakfast before returning to your safari camp. Overnight at Elewana Sand River Camp.
